in wealth is projected to move to widowed women in Baby Boomer and older generations from 2024 through 2048.
Cerulli Associates, January 2025 ↗Why Solid Ground Reserve exists
The money may be changing hands. The conversation must change with it.
When a woman becomes responsible for substantial wealth, she does not inherit one tidy investment question. She may be carrying accounts, property, retirement plans, trusts, taxes, insurance, family responsibilities, professional relationships, and decisions that were never fully explained to her. Solid Ground Reserve begins with that complete financial life.
A large transition, lived one woman at a time
The numbers explain the need. They do not define the woman.
Research points to a historic movement of wealth toward women. Behind every projection is a person learning what she now holds, deciding whom to trust, and working out what the wealth needs to do for her life.
of widows in a UBS survey reported difficulties when taking sole control of their household wealth.

Whole financial life first
A life transition changes more than a portfolio.
Good financial education connects the pieces before asking you to choose a product. It helps you identify what deserves attention now, what can safely wait, and which professional is responsible for confirming each fact.
Ownership and authority
Whose name is attached to each account, trust, property, business interest, or physical asset, and who is authorized to act?
Access and liquidity
Which resources support life today, which carry restrictions, and which should remain available while decisions are still forming?
Taxes and timing
Which dates are genuine deadlines, which values or records may matter later, and who should verify the applicable rule?
Purpose and priorities
What must the wealth provide: income, resilience, flexibility, a home, family support, growth, preservation, or legacy?
People and incentives
Who educates, advises, sells, holds, stores, values, or administers an asset, and how is each person compensated?
Records and continuity
Where do the essential documents, unanswered questions, decisions, and professional contacts live so you do not have to reconstruct the story?
Respect begins at her real level
There is no single woman arriving at this moment.
“I know the life we built. I do not yet understand how every financial piece fits together.”
She does not need to be rushed or spoken down to. She needs a map she can trust, plain-English explanations, room for grief or uncertainty, and the freedom to take one useful question at a time.
“I understand wealth. Help me explore how this possibility could fit.”
She welcomes thoughtful information, credible sources, and a conversation that respects her experience while opening a new perspective on tangible diversification.

A note from Rebecca
I believe knowledge changes what happens when a woman takes her seat at the table.
When I began looking at the extraordinary amount of wealth moving into women’s hands, I expected the numbers to be the story. They were not. The women were.
Women becoming responsible for financial lives they may not fully understand, or simply reaching the moment when they say, “I want to understand this for myself.”
That is why I created Solid Ground Reserve. I wanted to build something useful: a place to learn, identify and organize what matters, connect the pieces, and prepare for important financial conversations.
It begins with the question behind the financial question: What does this mean for my life now? You may begin without knowing the terminology. You may arrive with years of experience. Either way, the purpose is the same: to make the complete picture visible enough that your next decision belongs to you.
Because knowledge does more than inform. It changes the questions you ask, the conversations you have, and the confidence with which you participate in decisions.
You do not have to know everything. You just need a place to begin. Your financial life belongs to you. My hope is that Solid Ground Reserve helps it feel that way.
